We would like to let you in on what happens to temperature sensors before they are packaged and shipped to you.
After manufacturing, all temperature sensors are labelled with their own unique identification code and the entire batch is put into cycling chambers. In the chambers, the sensors undergo 7 to 10 temperature cycles from -10°C to 120°C depending on the sensor type. With this so-called burn-in (or ageing) process, we simulate the load on the sensor to detect any critical manufacturing defects.
First, we measure the sensors at 0°C (crushed ice) or at room temperature – function check. Each product is compared with a reference sensor that is directly linked to the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI).
This is followed by a measurement of the insulation resistance between the sensor and its outer housing. This way, we rule out the possibility of a short circuit or moisture penetration into the sensor housing.
In the final output inspection step, we verify that the sensor meets the parameters we guarantee as a manufacturer. Thus, we detect any critical defects in the sensors and analyse them immediately to identify the cause.
Only then do we pack the sensors and send them to you, so you always receive verified products with guaranteed quality.
